The two and a half days of highly interactive regional policy dialogue on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) particularly Resource Efficient Cleaner Production (RECP) took place on 27, 28 & 29 November 2019 at India Habitat Center, New Delhi, India. Event was facilitated by Mr. Rainer Agster, Director of Private Sector Cooperation, adelphi, Germany and Mr. Amarnath Munnolimath, Project Manager, adelphi, Germany.
The event provided an opportunity to facilitate exchange between policymakers, practitioners, sector experts and development experts from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka & India. The resulted in designing and discussing innovative policy prototype instruments that promote Sustainable Consumption and
Production (SCP) in these countries contributing to success of SCP in South Asia region. Indian participants showcased best practices of motivating SCP implementation schemes from India.
During the Policy Prototyping Lab, METABUILD team facilitated access to up-to-date, sector-specific insights into challenges and enablers for SCP and assisted participants to design step-by-step policy prototypes relevant to their nations. The prototyping process was facilitated by hands-on and collaborative prototyping tools, context-specific insights and an emphasis on partnership building. Feedbacks from peers / experts will be collected to refine the designed prototype. The policy prototyping methodology was very much welcomed and appriciated by all participants.
