On 13 – 16 June 2016 the METABUILD project organised a training-of-trainers (ToT) course at Hotel Shangri La in Kathmandu, Nepal. The meeting was hosted by SEED Nepal.
The objective of the course was to train local consultants and senior experts for their future work in the METABUILD project. They gained a common understanding of the METABUILD project, including the resource efficient and cleaner production (RECP) approach and the services that METABUILD can provide to companies. Topics covered in the training included the conduction of initial assessment visits to companies as well as the collection of baseline data to prepare initial assessment reports.
The training was primarily based on case study companies but also comprised company visits on the fourth day. It was facilitated by Mr Rajat Batra and Mr Stefan Melnitzky of the METABUILD project team. In total, 16 participants attended the training course.
